BioI’m Lyndsay. I'm a student in Westfield, MA. I'm a Taurus with no (truly diagnosed) personality disorders although I am quite certain that I am dyslexic and suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder...or what some people like to affectionately refer to as a ‘big chip on my shoulder.' (I’ll have to get that checked out.) I have a love for creation, and occasional overwhelming urges to dye my hair various secondary colors. I write. I paint. I draw, although it depends on my mood whether I better communicate my ideas and thoughts about the human condition in still figures or words. I love to take pictures. and sing. and dance. I love to listen, but love to talk even more.
I am a perfectionist. It's frightening. I also have an utter disdain for odd numbers and gross noises. See, odd numbers make me feel sort of queasy and panicky and weird. Sick noises, especially when people are eating, drive me nuts. It gets so bad I’m forced to leave the room, talk about ANYTHING to get my attention off of it, or turn something on (ie: the TV, music, etc) to drown out the sound. In restaurants my table setting has to be perfect. Spelling errors drive me crazy, especially my own. The dictionary is one thing I could not live without. Good hygiene is something I enjoy keeping. You know, multiple showers a day, etc etc. Everyone has obsessive compulsive habits, and these are just some of my many.
I'm an attention fiend. When I feel my fiendishness is not being humored, I freak out. If you see me suddenly shift from long-winded, coherent, and quasi-thoughtful posts to short, self-loathing, esoteric nonsense, be rest assured it's because I'm feeling neglected, and please commence to lavishing me with lots and lots of comments. Sometimes I just can't articulate my thoughts as well as when I'm actually conversing with someone, and it becomes significantly more difficult if I'm not sure that 'someone' is even listening. Even under normal circumstances, I have quite a bit of trouble 'saying what I mean' and it only gets worse when I feel no one's paying attention. Ask about a post, comment on a poem, convince me as to why odd numbers are utter fabulousness in disguise -- as long as it's within reason, I will be totally happy to respond. We will be in LJ la la land forever.
I might even give you a biscuit. Ohh snap.
